Welcome to my portfolio

My name is Maria Jacobs and I am a Program and National Testing Center Coordinator for the University of Maryland Global Campus where I specialize in military education. I assist a variety of students in their college journey from active duty service members, veterans to military spouses. I guide them in making sure they use the resources that are available to them and pursue their passions. I have a background in elementary education but found my true passion when I began working as an Army Education Counselor. I am passionate about education service members and their families on educational resources that are available and making sure education is accessible for all. I chose to pursue my masters degree in learning design and technology because I want to be able to learn how to use technology to create a variety of learning modules and resources that can be used in a variety of industries. I'm excited to learn more about how to use technology to better serve others and its connection to education.
